NGA.NET, Australia’s leading provider of e-recruitment and talent management solutions, have won the contract to implement NGA.NET Job Office Enterprise throughout Xstrata’s global organisation network. Xstrata is a major global diversified mining group with operations in 18 countries.
The contract will see the NGA.NET system rolled out as the ‘Xstrata plc Group online recruitment system’ across all of Xstrata’s 18 country accounts and six businesses, encompassing the management of Xstrata’s 50,000 employees around the globe.
Phil Jones, Xstrata’s General Manager, Human Resources said of the implementation, “NGA.NET’s e-recruitment system has been used by Xstrata in Australia for some four years now and the rollout of the system to all businesses across the company in all the countries in which we operate will allow our businesses greater exposure to advertise vacant positions. The system will at the same time give our current employees the opportunity to access roles across the group. This is a very positive move on many levels.”
The key drivers for Xstrata in implementing the system globally are to allow one location for all company vacancies and candidate data, whilst maintaining the autonomy of the company’s individual businesses; to enable current employees to source global roles; a reduction in administrative time and costs; reduced paper usage as a result of the system’s standardised, automatic electronic communication tools; the capacity to build an international talent pool; and the establishment of one platform by which to deliver high quality recruitment outcomes and manage human resources throughout the company.
“We are thrilled to be extending the successful relationship we already have with Xstrata in Australia to one which will see us dealing with the entire group around the globe. It’s wonderful to see our system being implemented to enable company wide changes to be made to processes which will in turn deliver a wide range of benefits across the board to Xstrata, its employees and potential employees,” said Mike Giuffrida, CEO, NGA.NET.
The company wide implementation will be aligned with the rollout of a global Xstrata job vacancy website, www.xstratacareers.com
The NGA.NET Job Management System has one of the highest IT security accreditations achievable by an IT service provider and is protected by a high availability firewall.
